Last night around midnight my parents went to walk their dog. They were attacked with a metal pole by 4 people who live down the street. Mom and dad came home and called the police (obviously). The #yrp came and did didly squat. They told us that the other party said that it was my parents who attacked them. Get a restraining order was their only suggestion. As my dad stands there with a bloody nose and bruised arms and my mom stand there shaking like the last leaf on a tree, I asked them isnt your motto to serve and protect? They reply with a smirk, no thats Toronto police. Oh excuse me officer, what is your motto? Deeds speak he replies. Indeed they do was the only thing I could say back. So in essence what youre telling me, officer, is that anyone can assault a person and call the police fabricating stories and they wouldnt be held accountable? Were not here to take sides, get a restraining order if you feel threatened Im very disappointed that we pay our taxes, live in a prestige neighborhood and have to deal with this shit. Anyone has similar experiences? What did you do? Im adamant on reaching someone who will give me a better suggestion than go get a restraining order. It could have been my mom or me alone who was waking the dogs... What would have happened then??
