Last night at around 830pm as I drove from Msa Sports Club, I saw a woman and girl, about 4-6 years old, lying next to the road along the road from Pandya Hospital Roundabout on the way to Kizingo. As I drove past, I wondered what the matter could be. Guilt made me turn at the Next roundabout and drive back. I was, as usual, alert incase it was a set up by robbers. I asked her what the matter was. Her house in Barsheba had been locked by the landlord after being evicted. I asked the whereabouts of the husband. She had none. I had thought of taking her and the child into the car to a place they could eat, but the robbery set up lingered. All I did was giver her 1k for a meal. I still feel guilty about the whole thing. Perhaps the Government, County or National, should consider putting up shelters for the homeless where they can rest their heads at night after a basic meal.
