Last night was the Ides of Marchs 50th anniversary celebration - TopicsExpress

Last night was the Ides of Marchs 50th anniversary celebration back in Chicago. They were all friends with Jimi, especially since hed participated in a number of Jim Peteriks World Stage events over the years. (Funny story - the first one that I saw Jimi perform in was the one where I got the photo of Jimi with Jim and Dave Bickler together. At the end, all of the guest stars come out on stage for the encore - Eye of the Tiger in all-skate fashion. This was at the House of Blues in Chicago. Id been hanging with Jimi all night - that was really the first time wed bonded - and we were up in the green room when they started Tiger. I jumped up and said, Brother, you have to get down there! Jimi looked at me, and said, Nah. Theres a bunch of famous people on stage. They dont need me. I grabbed his arm, pulled him up off the couch, and pushed him ahead of me down the stairwell and told him to get his ass out there since he was as famous as any of them and had better start singing. That was Jimi - humble to a fault. Never really saw himself as others saw him.) This video shows the homage the Ides played to their fallen brother. Keep in mind that these guys know brotherhood - the original four members have been playing together since high school (except for a hiatus while JP was in Survivor), and have known each other since childhood. Larry Millas (JPs recording engineer who recorded and mixed Crossroads Moment) and Bob Bergland were born in the same hospital a day apart and their mothers shared a room. It was touching, and at times very difficult to watch as videographer Greg Bizzaro, the man who did the video for Never Too Late, used a lot of my photos so it touched a lot of deep, personal emotions for me. Carl Blue Wise and Gwen Smith - you should recognize some of them... https://youtube/watch?v=NaoR_t8RzdA&feature=youtu.be
