Last night we catered an awesome Halloween party. I had so much fun making Brain shrimp cocktail with bloody sauce. I used roasted red peppers for the veins and I surrounded the shrimp with an aspic made of stock, bay seasoning, lemon juice and some garlic. I surrounded the head by bloody bandages and the result was so gross looking that Im afraid most people at the party were almost too afraid to taste it. Its a shame too because it was so super delicious! At least the hosts will be able to eat the leftover brains today. Did I really just write that last sentence? FYI - this sicko idea is from none other than the very prim and proper Ms. Martha Stewart. Lets face it - Halloween is for grown ups.
