Last week, #EricGarner -- a Black husband and father -- was choked to death in a violent altercation with New York City Police Department officers in Staten Island, NY. According to news reports, Officer Daniel Pantaleo, who administered the deadly chokehold, has since been placed on modified desk duty along with 4 New York City Fire Department (FDNY) volunteers. And now, the NYC Complaint Review Board has announced that it launch a probe into the 1,022 chokehold allegations reported between 2009 and 2013.
