Last week President Dastmozd returned from Stuttgart Germany. He traveled to Stuttgart with a delegation of experts for a seminar on workforce development and Germany’s dual education system. It was a very worthwhile and enjoyable trip. Upon returning to U.S., on Monday, he attended a meeting at YouthLink to discuss a partnership grant with community partners; he also attended a GenNext College and Career Readiness meeting at the United Way. On Tuesday, he met with the President of Drake Bank and attended a Somali/East African Community listening session focus group event. On Wednesday, President Dastmozd had his annual performance evaluation with the Chancellor of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system and held his weekly meeting with his Cabinet. On Thursday, he participated in interviews for the Business Instructor position, met with his Administrative Team, attended a Workforce Development Training meeting at the International Institute of MN, and met with an associate from Oliver Architects. On Friday, his day includes a meeting with employees from Baldinger Bakery and miscellaneous staff meetings. On behalf of the College, President Dastmozd apologizes for any inconveniences that our various construction projects that are currently underway on campus have caused you this summer.
