Last week in jail, before communion an inmate asked to read to the group Matthew 7:1-5 Judge not, that you not be judged . . . and Matthew 26:26-29 Jesus institute the Lords Supper: following the reading there was a discussion, paraphrasing: Together we share in Jesus body and blood, lets do it for the right reasons. Lets share and pray Gods agenda, not our own. If we have an issue lets talk about it, judge ourselves before we judge others. After communion an inmate said to me I have no friends, my wife died, my children do not want me, by onetime friends will have nothing to do with me. When someone goes to jail or prison in many cases family and friends throw them away. I sat down with him for awhile and listen to his story. Everyone has a story. Take time to listen, love them and pray with them. If someone who had been in jail said to you; my parents moved to another state, I do not have their phone number or address, I have not friends - What would your response be? Last week I was asked to do a medication at a meeting: In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, always give thanks for everything to God the Father, Eph 5:20 What is God saying to me through these words? Each time I leave jail or prison I give thanks to God for allowing me to visit Him in. What is God saying to you?
