Last year on NYE me and Aaron, and Steven and his ex-girlfriend, were all sick with a bad cold so we just sat around and watched Honey Boo Boo all night and then sent lanterns into the sky at midnight to celebrate 2014, and in remembrance of Kelly. At which point one of them got caught on an electrical line, caught fire up there, and fell to the neighbors yard setting the grass on fire, and we all laughed so hard our stomachs hurt. Tonight me and Steven are in the same house as we were then, with Hayden watching Spongebob Squarepants on TV, Steven asleep on my lap, and as I sit here I cant help but reflect on how much can change in a year. The amount of people that have come into and left my life. The things that I never saw coming. Things that broke my heart, things I couldnt control. But as bad as this year has hurt and as much as Id love to go back to last year on this night, I am thankful to be where Im at now. Happy, loved, content. And most importantly, hopeful. 2015 will undoubtedly bring bad things, thats just life, but no matter what comes God always has a plan and has proved that time and time again. Life aint always beautiful, but its a beautiful ride. ♡
