Lately Ive been having a major melt-down. I had this great idea of helping women who felt isolated, distressed and friendless to get their power back and unite with other women feeling more empowered than ever before. But instead I felt isolated, distressed and friendless. Now, as I slowly crawl my way out of the black hole Ive been in the last few months, I realise it was necessary for my own growth. If I truly want to be there for you, I need to be there for me. If I want to help people with mental health issues, maybe I needed them to really understand how bloody awful it is, let alone the stigma, the poor communication skills, the lack of professional help in small country towns, the side effects of medication. Its been a real roller coaster ride and Im coming out the other side with humility, patience and compassion. I wish you all the greatest strength and courage in life.xx
