Leading Sunday, 24 November 2013 1. Welcome 2. Opening prayer : Lord, we have come here this morning to worship You, to learn more about You, and to hear from You. Fill us now with Your Holy Spirit so that we can go on to be the people You want us to be. In Jesus name we pray Amen 3. Today Arnot is preaching on 1 Corinthians 8 vs 1-13 4. song 5. Do you ever get asked what you actually believe in. I did so I told them….. We believe in one God ,the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father. With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. AMEN. He didn’t ask again 6. Notices 7. Arnot 8. Prayers Father we thank You for the words of wisdom You have given us in todays passage. So often we fall to the temptations of self promotion, of building ourselves up without any thought for the consequences our actions have on the people around us. Help us to be more Christ centred than me centred, to think more about those around us and put their welfare before our own. We lift to You all our friends who need Your help We lift to You our own dear friends who need Your healing touch, Ivy and Gill, Anns family in Ireland and Julie living next door to my mum and dad. Lord we ask that You will keep Paul and Arnot, Sam and Simon safe as they do Your work in this country and Delcie and the house of Ants and Kate with the door of hope Here in this place, we ask for Your blessing on the leadership of Farm Fellowship and the local area coordinators In Jesus name we pray Amen Angela is going to say the Lords prayer in Welsh Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come;thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation;but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.] Amen. 9. Song 10. Break 11. Arnot 12. Closing prayer: Heavenly Father we go into the new week, Refreshed by the presence of You Send us out in the name of Christ, in the power of the Spirit and filled with Your love so that lives will be touched by Your grace and changed through Your power Amen
