Leboo DEATH OF FIDEL ODINGA I first met the young man in Harare Zimbabwe. He was visiting the aunt who owns the famous Roots of Africa restaurant in the posh surburbs of Harares Cnr Seventh St & Livingstone Ave, Harare, Zimbabwe. The restaurant is famous with Kenyans working in Zim especialy the Kenya embassy staff who reside nearby. Fidel was introduced to me by a senior embassy staff. Fidel was down to earth fellow. He talked a lot about business and politics back home. I remember a Kenyan lawyer based in Harare asking him if he will go for the Kibera seat but Fidel jockigly told us that it is a curse or Chira in Luo to inherit your father when he is still alife. We all laughed. We lost a young very social man.
