Leeds Arts Centre present Oleanna by David Mamet. Oleanna is a three-act play surrounding the consequences of miscommunication between a male college professor and his impressionable female student. John, a professor trying to make tenure (a senior academics contractual right not to have his or her position terminated without just cause) offers failing student Carol an “A” in the class if she will visit him diligently and let him teach her everything he knows about the subject. Their relationship deteriorates leading to a battle for justice between them, where right and wrong becomes open to interpretation. Oleanna is are on sale at the Carriageworks Theatre box office, priced £12 or £9 concessions.
