Lemon and Olive Oil Hair Mask Muffins and Couture suggests a super helpful and basic hair mask for winter. This is a very popular yet simple hair mask which is perfect for the cold weather as it keeps dandruff and itchiness at bay as well as moisturizes your hair and prevents hair fall. Here’s what you need to make it: 1. Two tablespoons olive oil 2. Two teaspoons lemon juice 3. One tablespoon water Put the two tablespoons of olive oil (you can use any brand but I recommend either Borges Oil or Amla Hair Oil), into a bowl and heat it until it’s slightly hot, but not scalding hot or the oil could burn. Next, add the lemon juice. I used two small lemons which amounted to two tablespoons. Add the water as well and mix together well. If the mixture feels too watery add just a tiny bit more oil. You probably won’t need to, though. It should look something like this: When applying to your hair, massage it gently into the scalp using circular motions, which not only ensures proper coverage of the oil on your scalp but also encourages blood circulation. Don’t forget to rub the mixture onto your lengths and tips too. Leave the hair mask on for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water, then shampoo and condition.
