Lesmurdie :D Help please Dario & Michele! Trying to decide how far to plant my baby pecan from the edge of my driveway by the letterbox. I have been reading about Pecan root development and it seems that given the chance they can have far reaching surface roots (due to soil conditions - moisture, mulch cover heat) I sort of think that if the surrounding area isnt too damp and deep watered at the tree that the tap root and surface roots will develop deeper? Is there a potential for the surface roots to interfere with my driveway? Ideally I dont want to venture too far from this spot as there are leach drains and septic further down the property.
