Lesson for this morning... leave a spare key to your house with more than one neighbour! Bet most people havent cut their front lawn by this time in the morn have they? Dropped Nick at station to save him time as first day back after hols and left kids sleeping soundly for 15 mins. On arriving home realised that Nick had taken my house keys with him. Door bell stopped working after too many hard pushes on it, no mobile to ring the house and its 7 am in the morn and our spare keys are with neighbours who are also away. Stones thrown at bedroom window - no luck. So with access to the lawn mower and the outside socket, I proceeded to not waste my day. Having then cut my edges with scissors (why not if youve got until possibly 9am when the kids wake!) I decided to try the stone throwing again... hurray it worked with a greeting from one of my 3 kids asking why on earth I was cutting the lawn at 7.45 am... and had i lost the plot! My saving grace is that when I went to bed last night I did say I was going to drive to the station in my pjs but fortunately changed my mind at 6.30am thank goodness. Hope my day gets better!
