Let me start off by saying, I love my lil buddy (8yrs Old/approx.. 60lbs) and we take very good care of him, keep him exercised, keep him on a good diet, and pay very close attention to his personal hygiene on a weekly basis. Today a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders thanks to, Dr. Stone, and the rest of everybody at Blockhouse Creek Animal Hospital. They are located in Cedar Park, just NW of the Cedar Park Center, off 183 and New Hope. About two weeks ago my Basset Hound, Trigger, started acting abnormally. Knowing that they are prone to ear infections, we took him to our previous vet and continued to be unimpressed with their staff. They diagnosed him with a yeast infection in his ears, and sent us home with some antibiotics. 10 days later, and Trigger just got weaker and weaker. His appetite slowed, his water intake continued to slow, and he continued to become more lethargic. Yesterday, I realized I knew of J.j. Faust working for the Blockhouse Creek Animal Hospital and decided to give him a shout. He informed me that I should bring him in to see Dr. Stone. I took his advice, and right away he got me put into the computer, and scheduled me an appointment for the very next day at 9am. After making sure we had his medical records faxed over, Trigger and I made our trek to Cedar Park. WOW! I am so happy I did. Blockhouse Creek Animal Shelter is a class act operation. This made me very happy, knowing that I had been considering leaving my current Vet for the past year. As soon as we walked in we were in the Exam Room, and they were already getting stats and background info, so they could take him to acquire various samples for testing. Within 1 hr. he was diagnosed as a very healthy dog, with small unpreventable issues. Dr. Stone and J.j, sat down with me and explained EVERYTHING that was going on. After the tests were concluded, they even informed me about everything was perfect with him, and what it actually all meant me. Going into this place I was worried that I could be losing the hairiest best friend I’ve ever known, and by the time I walked out I was already excited to be able to bring him back for everything that Trigger will ever need. During my distress, they actually took time to care for, not only my basset, but also to care for the “human bond element” in this situation. PLEASE, IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR CURRENT VET, DON’T WAIT! PLEASE MAKE THAT DRIVE TO CEDAR PARK, TO SEE THE FOLKS AT BLOCKHOUSE CREEK ANIMAL HOSPITAL! My experience was one that I will never forget. Thank You J.j. Faust, Dr. Stone, and everybody else that works there, my wife and I are so happy to have found you! If you would like to hear more about my personal experience, please feel free to contact me anytime at 512.294.3155. I will tell you how good they are all day long…..
