“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Heb 4:16 NKJV) Help! This one word sentence is familiar. I have needed and will need help as long as I live. But there are different levels of need that cause us to cry for help. The deeper the need the more emphatic the cry for help. When normal resources are not enough, the cry for help becomes desperate. One thing is certain, we have all cried out for help. The place of need teaches us to find our dependence in Christ. He is faithful and will provide. When we find our self in the place of need, it is best to stop and gather our thoughts. We can either give in to the mounting pressure or we can pray. We have an invitation to come with boldness to the Throne of Grace. This means we have access to the King and His Grace. Grace is not limited to spiritual matters such as forgiveness. Grace covers all of our need. It is through God’s Grace that we find employment. His Grace opens the doors necessary for our income. Grace touches all avenues of our life. Grace facilitates healing, restoration, direction in life and encompasses our days. Need thrusts us into the court of our King. It is there we are reminded of His love and mercy. It is there where our hearts are captivated by His Majesty. Our need seems so small when we find our self in the presence of His Eternal Majesty and Splendor. Jesus is LORD!!
