Lets be clear, the indie blowhards named here are really just refugees from 90s post-grunge trying to carve out a safe BORING place for themselves in a kaleidascopic anti-rockist hipster future. Also, to call it cultural snobbery.. HA! BAHA!! BAHAHAHA!!!! Thats like taking pride in your Starbucks coffee. But more than a fight for Swift’s honour, the petition is baiting the over-intellectualised, indie blowhards among Triple J’s audience for whom “mainstream” is the most damning assessment of a cultural text possible. The station is perhaps the last vestige of the world before Shake It Off, having never played it on air.
