Lets talk about what roots do! 1) Roots are unseen. Where is a thriving roots system grown? Underground! So, I would like to challenge you to withdraw from distractions of TV, internet, and the telephone and get alone with God. Why? So you can tend to your private, secret, hidden life with God. If we will be faithful to do this, wow! What a difference it will make in our lives! In the book, The Best Half Of Life by Ortland, he say this: The greater proportion of your day – of your life – spent hidden in quiet, in reflection, in study, in scheduling, in preparation – the greater will be the effectiveness, the impact, and the power of the part of your life that shows. Did you know that scientists say that 90% of an ice-burg is underwater?! Wow! So what you see above the water is Just the tip of the ice-burg! Think about your life. If you want the part of your life that is seen to point people to Christ, then you must spend much of your unseen life focusing on Christ! What is your foundation! Who are you when no one is looking? Make sure you are firmly planted in and getting your nourishment and guidance from Gods Holy Word and time spent with Him in prayer!!
