Lewis was recently a part of a very special project called Comedy Warriors: Healing Through Humor. The project is a full-length documentary film featuring five severely injured service members embarking on a new and challenging journey – standup comedy. Lewis, along with Zach Galifianakis, B.J. Novak and Bob Saget are coaches for the vets as they as they write and perform their comedy acts. These Comedy Warriors candidly share their poignant life stories, and the role that humor plays in their rehabilitation. The film culminates in live performances at top Los Angeles comedy clubs: The Irvine Improv the Laugh Factory. You can catch the doc on Showtime (current air dates 1/25/14 & 1/29) and it will soon be released on Netflix.
