Lexis Birthday Moments: This afternoon, Mom and I took a small planter of fall flowers to Lexis school and had them delivered to her classroom. Tonight we celebrated Lexis Birthday at the restaurant of her choice. Japanese Steakhouse. This Weekend, i will cook her favorite meal. Spagetti, Crescent Rolls and Ceasar Salad. Then, take her to Tysons Mall to shop til she drops (or runs out of birthday money). Our family tradition is for the birthday girl/boy to choose thier favorite restaurant to eat at the night of your birthday! The weekend after your birthday, you get to pick your favorite meal that Mommy cooks. Lastly, since my girls are getting older and dont want birthday parties (Im secretly happy about that part), they get to do a fun activitiy. Just about always now a days they want to head straight for the mall to spend that birthday money on clothes, shoes and other girly stuff. Its funny because years ago when the girls were very little we started this birthday tradition. Mostly because I think everyone (and I especially wanted my girls to feel special), should feel special on thier birthday. When Lexi was little she always picked McDonalds, Chicken Nuggets for her special birthday dinner. Then at home she wanted chicken nuggets for her special home cooked meal. She ate so much chicken we used to call her bock bock. Thats a funny birthday memory! Goodnight!
