This is a great opportunity for an experienced Library Technician to work on the Central Coast. The main responsibility of the role is to manage the provision and delivery of library and information services to support the business objectives of the agency. In this senior role, you will be responsible for: •Manages the delivery of library services and programs to clients in a predominantly electronic environment. •Develops and implements library strategies including marketing strategies that ensure progressive improvement in, and penetration of, library services. •Provides comprehensive library services including loans, inter-library loans and subscription distribution. •Purchase of all information resources for the Library and business unit collections including acquisition and renewal of all online databases and journal subscriptions. •Maintains the library collection in a professional manner and to professional standards. •Maintains all Library databases and the Library Intranet. •Monitors developments in emerging technologies and best practice in information and knowledge management. •Identifies and undertakes projects to enhance library services including the continuous improvement of library and information services. •Ensures the provision of the highest level of customer service. •Trains and assists clients to effectively access information and use relevant technology. •Manages the Library budget. You will already have a number of years experience in a similar position. You will have the capability of managing and motivating a team.
