Life: I noticed him standing as close to the edge as he could. Was he trying to go over! ‘’Are you going to S U I C I D E?’’ I shouted from behind. My larynx pitched. Windy air is noisy. He looked back, in stunned gesture, didn’t move from there, not a single step further he took after that on that high black boulder where death game was going on. And I, .. I didn’t move even, remained in my same distant place where I was, as an onlooker. I should have done something in emergency, but didn’t. I fear wave. Surprise, he raised his one hand & signaled me to wait. Wave! All ripples are wave. Wave is not ripple. Ripples are tinny. Waves pound, try to break something, always. Water hitting water is wave: Noisy: Unrest. And eventually breaks down either itself or others whatever that comes in front. They say ‘Wander – don’t – Wonder’ but I feel ‘Danger – don’t – Dare’. He was coming back. Re climbing & down again all those slippery black small hills that already he had travelled before with a purpose, don’t know what that is. I don’t know him. Approaching.. He was almost near me. I saw his week legs somehow were keeping him straight on that uneven stony place in such windy atmosphere. He stretched his hand. I got a handshake. He said – ‘’I’m willing to die for a woman I love. And it just took 75 years of mine to make it happen. You call it s-u-i-c-i-d-e, huh?!’’ I left him then & there. ~~~ Wave~~~ Photo - Ragner Axellon – Norway
