Like little children who boast about their fathers, it so with us as God"s children as well, must boast about who our father is. But we can"t boast about him if we do not know he is and what he is like. We also cant boast about him if we are the center or our own life.... Our Heavenly Fathers patience comes out even as he dealt his rebellious people. The Lord shared through Jeremiah WHO he is, and WHAT he DELIGHTS IN. Sometimes we have different view of God, when we are going through things in life. People sees him differently. I love it this morning to be reminded of you he is... But first of all to know who our Heavenly Father is, we must have the right attitude... We are all BOASTERS of who we are and what we have. We love to talk about ourselves. We love to boast. PRIDE is really the issue. I do well sometimes, but oh boy, if I feed this monster it grows in me. This is why I am reminded that I must decrease so that Jesus can INCREASE in me. Now this is what the LORD is saying... -LET NOT THE WISE MAN BOAST IN HIS WISDOM -LET NOT THE STRONGMAN BOAST IN HIS STRENGTH -LET NOT THE RICH MAN BOAST IN HIS RICHES... But let him who boasts, boast in this...That they KNOW AND UNDERSTAND who I AM... Many say the KNOW God, but don&t understand God. I may know something, but lack the understanding of all that it takes to make it a worthy experience. This is what God wants me to KNOW AND TO UNDERSTAND...that he EXERCISE...KINDNESS, JUSTICE, AND RIGHTEOUSNESS on the earth. Every one of us are boasters, if not about what we know of something, we boast about our power and strength, and if not that we boast about how much we have in life, how many cars, homes, possession, and when things goes wrong with all this, we blame God. We see him as the problem for letting us hit rock bottom and not helping us. God does not delight in our demise. He delight in being kind to us. He delight that justice is done in every situations that we face whether it is our fault or the fault of others. He does not delight that we are in a mess that we often creat. He wants to see that we do what is JUST and right. A proud person cannot receive this. A proud person, his KNOW HOW, HIS SENSE OF CONTROL, HIS POSSESSIONS are the center of his life. But those who know their Heavenly Father, knows that he is committed and delighted in doing what is just and right, and is not partial just because I am his child. He does not let me off the hook when I am doing something wrong and unrighteous in his eyes just because I belong to him. I will receive a just reward for my actions. He will deal with me in his righteousness, not because I am his child, but because he does what is right. I want to know him more and more. I must confess that I need to really know him. I thank him as my father for his word that he tells me and reminded me of what he DELIGHTS in. Thank you Jesus for speaking to me today. Amen! (Jeremiah 9:23--24)
