(Linda speaking... in case someone doesnt know... It is always Linda, using Freds page rather than.... his page, my page, VASoCals page.... and all the resulting email....) I Just want to say I AM BLESSED as a wife, to have met my match, Gods MATCH for me 18 years ago. At 40, I did question if I ever would be married, and was ok that I might not, but so glad that God directed our paths... CRAZY PATHS... to each other. What has me saying this tonight is this man, this Man of God and of Good... is getting ready to be the transport support for the WARMING CENTER tonight...offering rides to those who need to get there, and a way to store their belongings for the night in our van. He will take my homemade soup and our 30 cup coffee maker to help with warmth.... and then he will return to rest for a couple hours before manning the 11:30 to 3 am shift, along with one of our most loyal volunteers, James Miller. Instead of being home, in his bed, snuggled and warm, both he and James are giving up their comfort to be in service to what Jesus called the least of These. To all of those who have responded to be available and contacted Jim Lineberger, through the Valley Community Pantry to help meet the staffing needs as volunteers for this critically needed Warming Center.... THANK YOU. You each WALK YOUR TALK... and your Walk tells us more about you than words ever could.
