After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper … (1 Kings 19:11-12) Sometimes we surround ourselves with so much noise that we have trouble hearing God’s gentle whispers. Don’t let that happen to you today. Shut off the TV. Unplug the computer. Get alone. Take a deep breath. Tune out the world. Tune in to God. Listen.
