Liz and Cam really wanted to spoil their 30 wedding guests and planned an incredibly personalised reception dinner, with a partial venue hire… we tailored individual menus to suit guests, and provided a portion of our venue dedicated to their group… Here is was they had to say about their experience with Millers: When we started the exciting, but daunting task of planning our wedding, we expected prompt service - if nothing else, due to the sheer quantity of money a wedding required. The first thing that immediately struck us was how terribly wrong that expectation was. Between the Whitsundays and Cairns, venues appeared to have an unwritten understanding that they were doing an enormous favour to allow us the privilege of considering their facility. It overwhelmingly felt as though we were in their way. That was, until we found Millers Beach Bar & Grill in Mission Beach. Millers provided us with quality and service far beyond our expectations, from the moment we first made contact. They gave us time to look at their stunning venue (which overlooks the ocean and Dunk Island); they made helpful suggestions in a non-pushy kind of way; they gave us unlimited options - whatever we wanted, they could do; and when we went to them with our very long lists of questions on numerous occasions, they sat with us - for as long as it took - until we had all our questions answered. Bottom line: they cared - and they made us feel as though our day was as important to them, as it was to us. We realised very early on that this was a rare find. Having our wedding reception at Millers was a no-brainer. Our guests - many of whom are real foodies - were traveling from all around Australia for our wedding, so we wanted a venue that would prefect the food. We knew the food was a quality far beyond the cost as we had eaten there while wedding planning to help us decide - we also knew the service had consistently been outstanding on previous occasions - but what we didnt know, was just how far above and beyond they would go for us on the day. We felt as though we had stepped into the home of our dearest friends for dinner - Millers is undoubtedly the epitome of hospitality, and quintessential place for not only the foodie, but anyone looking to get far more for their dollar. Never have we left a restaurant feeling indebted to them, but this is precisely how we feel about Millers and their incredibly selfless staff. To couples planning their wedding, or any function, we couldnt recommend Millers highly enough. The feedback we received from our guests - mainly about the quality of food and outstanding service - made us so heart-warmingly happy we had our wedding reception there to spoil our guests.
