Lobby Day Momentum: Keep it Going! Thanks to some amazing grassroots advocacy, our annual Lobby Day on Tuesday produced significant new support for our number one legislative priority, the Accelerating the End of Breast Cancer Act, H.R. 1830. The entire day was an empowering and wonderful one of hundreds of meetings with Members and/or staff on Capitol Hill to forward the NBCC legislative agenda. Inspired by their meetings, advocates tweeted out pictures and messages of thanks and/or continued efforts to get Representatives to co-sponsor H.R. 1830 via social media. Tuesday’s lobby day, along with our National Action Network’s (NAN) ongoing efforts in the home districts have resulted in a total of 205 sponsors/co-sponsors on the bill! But we still need more co-sponsors! Action Needed Today: We need you to act today! Our goal is to have 218 co-sponsors by Mother’s Day. That’s why we need you to email your Representative right away if she/he is not on this list of co-sponsors.
