Jamie writes songs relatable to people everywhere. Her lyrics are simple, yet tell true detailed stories. Her voice although delicate, and pure, is polished and strong. Filtered by the Sky is a band that was created to challenge the listener with the changes in count and to experience new musicianship. Each note, rhythm, and word has a purpose, whether to bring things together or separate each part. Either way, the end result is the same--to simply elicit a feeling and to make people really pause and listen, and make a connection to the music.
