Lots of shady shit going on with our leadership. Elders asking me to speak at the pow wows and let people know what is going on with our childrens world. Industry whores, (My thoughts on these leaders who are taking money from industry). Money does not matter life does. I guess I will get my ass in gear. If I have to hike around more than ever I will. I keep being not asked but strongly suggested to do these things that I do. To be at these places that I go to speak on behalf of our children and those with no voice or proper information. There are very knowledgeable people out there. But some are afraid, because as we were told our own people will turn on us, betray us, and they have, their own concience will deal with them. We have to carry on none the less, reminding people how to live in harmony with the earth, that we have to stop the many forms of destruction going on. Have to get these self proclaimed okimawak in line, how dare they try to compare themselves with okimawahtik!! The only okimaw I will acknowledge and hold on to are are Kitche Manito, Okimawahtik, Nitciwasimsak, Nosimak ekwa Nicapanak. Too many of these Okimawak thinking frivolous distractions are what the grassroots people need. Just finished my smudge and thinking these things so had to share. But that seems to be part of the plan for the rest of the time I am loaned.
