Love is a word that is used to describe (in general) the human feelings that a person feels from either being “in love”, or from the experiences of being in a relationship with family or friends. Human Love is different that Divine Love. Human Love is only temporary and can even change from love, into hate. Human Love is actually subconsciously “selfish” or is accidentally self-centered, because it is mainly focused on what it itself can “get” or what it itself doesn’t “get”, in the relationship of human “love”. You can even hear this condition of human “love” in the “love songs” being played on the radio, about how human “love” is lost or how the person “in love” is in pain from “loving” the other person. Human Love can be “lost” on the person who was “loved”, when the relationship turns bad or when it finally ends one day, or when the person “loved” dies one day. Human Love can even “die” or end, even while the person stays involved in the relationship, as in the marriage relationship or as in the friendship relationship or as in the family relationship. Human Love is based on the conditions of the relationship, which can be either good (pleasurable and profitable) or can be bad (painful and un-profitable). Human Love always has “strings” attached to the “love”, as in certain conditions have to be met and certain things have to be done, otherwise the “love” is withheld or is withdrawn from the person not meeting the conditions and is withheld or is withdrawn from the person not doing the required things for “love”. Human Love is conditional. (limited and imperfect and selfish) Divine Love (on the other hand) has no conditions that need to be met and no things that need to be done, in order for The Divine Love to be given to the person being loved. The person being loved (in this Divine Way), can even hate the person (God) loving them in this Divine Way, but this hate of the person being loved does not interfere (whatsoever) with The Divine Love being given to the person being loved in this Divine Way. Divine Love is normally (and in general) not understandable, by most human beings. The average normal human being cannot fathom such a thing, as Divine Love. The average human mind is literally incapable of accepting such an idea of un-conditional love, not to mention the fact that most human beings have never really experienced an un-conditional love before, in their personal lives. Most human beings have nothing to compare their human love with, as they have experienced in their own lives, but nothing with a supposed “divine love”. Which is also why, most of the things said by The Lord Jesus Christ, do not make very much sense to the average human being, except as a nice “ideal”, to “love others as yourself”. Divine Love does not even make any logical “sense”, to the average human being. The human ego thinks to itself, “why in the world would you do “anything” for someone else?, unless you were going to “get something” for your time and energy and effort?”. This is the way that the human ego thinks about “love”, as in “what is in it, for me”?. Divine Love has no such thing within its character, to think in terms of “what is in it for me”. This is also why The Bible is able to state correctly that, “God is Love”. Divine Love is a superior love (compared to human love), as the highest form of love within The Universe. Most human beings are not capable of experiencing this Divine Love, due to the fact that the human ego is dominating their thinking, at all times. The only way that a human being would ever be able to sense or detect this Divine Love (within their human mind) would be, if the human being would slow down the thinking going on within the human mind, through prayer or through meditation. (“Be still within, ...and know God”) Otherwise, the human ego will always be blocking any contact with this Divine Love, within the human mind. Some human beings are even afraid of sitting still and allowing an inner peace to come over them, because this is similar to a kind of “death”, which the human ego is totally frightened of, as it’s own “death”. But, unless a human being “dies” to the human ego, the human being will never enter “The Kingdom of God”, and the human being will never become spiritually “born again”. The Lord Jesus Christ knew this about human beings, too. Some human beings want to “go to heaven” and some human beings want to enter “The Kingdom of Heaven”, but they are un-willing to let go of the things in life that they are holding onto, whether it is their property or their wealth or their “popularity” or their pleasures or their “loves” or their “beliefs” or any number of things in this life. Unfortunately, all it takes is only one “thing” to keep a human being from experiencing Gods Divine Love, within their lives. Some human beings are very good people and have very good lives, but they lack one thing in their life, and that one “thing” is inner peace or spiritual love or “God”. There once was a young man, who was rich and was also a good person, who asked The Lord Jesus Christ a question, he said to Jesus, “Lord what must I do to enter The Kingdom of Heaven?”. And Jesus said, “Well, do you keep The Law of God?”. And the young rich man said, “Yes Lord, I have kept all of The Laws and all of the commandments of Moses”. Jesus then said, “That is good, but you only lack one thing young man, you need to give all of your money and wealth to the poor, and then you can enter into The Kingdom of Heaven”. But, the young rich man being very wealthy, became very sad and walked away knowing that he could never give away his money and his wealth to the poor. There is normally, always “something” that is blocking a human being from finding “God” and from them being able to have inner peace and spiritual salvation, from this world. It can be “anything”! ………. Some human beings will never find out what that “something” really is, because they will never search for a deeper meaning or purpose to their lives, except achieving more and more things in this life, by making more and more money, the never ending “paper chase”. There is nothing wrong or evil with “money”, money is neither good, nor bad. It is “the love of money” that will keep a human being from finding “God” or from finding “inner peace” or from gaining “spiritual salvation” in this life. The main thing that normally keeps a human being from finding “God” in this life, is their “fear of death”. No human being ever wants to “die”, unless of course they are depressed and are suicidal, etc. But, if a human being is healthy and has a “good life”, then they never want to lose their life, at all costs. This can be an accidental psychological “trap” or “trick” too, for the average human being. There are some human beings who have such a “nice life”, with very little problems and very little heart aches, that they don’t really see a need to even have “God” in their lives. “God” is actually un-necessary in some peoples lives!, ……….at least, so it seems. That!, ...is a real “blindness”, when a human being finds no need for “God” within their lives. Most human beings think to themselves, “Why would I even want “God” in my life?, when all of my needs are being met and all of my pleasures are being fulfilled?”. It doesn’t even make sense to have “God” in a persons life, when all that will do is probably cause all of these new “problems”, that you don’t even have right now”. And, it’s actually true!. Human Beings do not need “God” in their lives, in order to be superficially “happy” or relatively “content” in life. And, God in Heaven does not “force” Himself, into any human beings life. Jesus said, “I have come to seek and to save anyone who is spiritually lost. I have NOT come to spiritually save those human beings who are self-satisfied with their lives”. Most human beings do not even know, that they are spiritually “lost”.......which is really strange! Because, most human beings define “success”, as achieving lots of money and by accumulating lots of things in life, and it’s only natural, “why would anyone want more than that in life!”. But, Jesus said, “Blessed are the humble and the poor in spirit, and those who suffer in this life, because they will seek deeper meanings to this life, and deeper reasons for their sorrows and sufferings, so they will seek God for spiritual salvation, because of the pain of this life”. Jesus said, “Seek, ...and you will find”. But, most human beings do not “see” a need to “seek” for anything in this life, especially if they are self-satisfied in their human egos. It’s a spiritual blindness, which is like a hypnotic trance. Some human beings never “wake up” out of their hypnotic trance, and some human beings do not even want to “wake up”, out of their hypnotic trance. God in Heaven allows all human beings their Freedom of Free-Will, to make the decisions in this life to turn to the “right” or to turn to the “left”. (both spiritually speaking and physically) Some human beings will “die in their sins”. (“perish” = non-existence) This is not necessarily a “punishment” by God in Heaven, but it is a natural consequence of the human beings decisions in this life. (to never “seek”, …) Consequences are real in this life, “What a man sows in this life, he will also reap in this life or in the next”. Gods Divine Love does not interfere with the consequences of our human decisions in this life. (“God in Heaven is not “mocked” ….) Gods Divine Love, even loves the evil and hateful human beings in this life, but they will never experience Gods Divine Love, because of their own rejection of this Divine Love. (The Judas “Syndrome”) Gods Divine Love is un-conditional, ……….Eternal. (Infinite) So, which “Love” would you yourself prefer?, ………...Human Love? or Divine Love? I personally choose Divine Love (Gods Divine Love) over Human Love (humans), even though human love is “fine”, it is just so, ……….. un-reliable and un-predictable and un-stable and self-centered and ego orientated and selfish and ………...awful!.
