Love my mom ... love Florida ... but glad to (finally) be home ... plane delay was two-fold ... first minor mechanical, second medical emergency (flight attendant said the guy was stable when he left the aircraft in Colombus OH) ... then another delay in DC ... we missed our gate spot and had to wait on the tarmac about 20 minutes for another plane to leave. Flight crew had a long day ... they were leaving DC to go to Houston (their home base) ... then the plane (with a new crew) was headed to Albuquerque. They must have some flow chart of who goes where, when ... glad Im not in the air management business and just a traveler.
