Luke 19: 20 Then the other came, saying, ‘Lord, here is your pound. I wrapped it up in a piece of cloth, 21 for I was afraid of you, because you are a harsh man; you take what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’ (NRSV) We read this story and are amazed at the foolish and wicked act of this trusted servant. Yes he was trusted; faith was placed on him for him to be given something to manage. The irony is that we think we are better than him, at least I thought so until a few nights ago until the Lord said that I am on the same boat with that servant. For being a believer, there is a deposit of ministry in you that should yield dividend for the Lord who deposited it in you; very few realize this and profit for the Lord until they are ushered into any of the fivefold ministerial office or a combination of two or more. Rev. 1:6 said that you are king and a Priest. A Priest is charged with the responsibility of intercession for his new nation (body of Christ aka The Church), his nation (e.g. Nigeria Ghana etc), for leaders, for people in his sphere of contact, etc.
