MAN IN COURT OVER FACEBOOK POSTS ON AMOSUN A 31-year-old man, Wasiu Ogunnoiki, has been arraigned before a Magistrate’s Court in Sagamu, for allegedly posting negative remarks about the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun. Ogunnoiki, who was arraigned on a two count charge, according to the charge sheet, contravened Section 249 (d) of the Criminal Code, volume II Laws of Ogun State, 2006. He was alleged to have written on his Facebook page that Governor Amosun demolished houses in the state without compensating affected property owners. The accused was also said to have written on his page that the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Sagamu Local Government, Femi Felix Kafar, has dumped his party for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Ogunnoiki, a commercial motorcyclist in Sagamu, was further accused of inciting people of the state against the Amosun led administration. The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and Chief Magistrate Ojo granted him bail in the sum of N400,000, with two sureties in like sum. The matter has been adjourned till December 5th.
