MIXED MEDIA ART CLASSES (K-3RD GRADE) @ Greensboro Day School (Lower School Art Room), 5401 Lawndale Drive, Greensboro. OPEN to students from any area school or homeschooled children. Wednesdays, 3:00-4:15pm Total Cost (supplies & tuition): $ 224. 9/11/13 - 12/18/13 (no class 11/27) This class will explore multiple artistic techniques and art media including: Gothic Architecture – Learn about texture rubbings using chalk pastels and oil pastels Fun Fish – Create a mixed media painting using canvas board, acrylic paint and hardware Translucent Trees – Learn about opacity, transparency, translucency and focal point using tissue paper, glue and paint Negative Space Puzzle – Learn about figure gesture drawing using a variety of papers Spider Web Composition – Learn about composition and setting using watercolor paint, oil pastels and Model Magic Space Station Perspective – Create a drawing in perspective using chalk pastels Abrakadoodle offers mixed media, multicultural art education classes that are both FUN and EDUCATIONAL! Students learn about contemporary and master artists and artistic techniques from around the world. Each class results in a unique finished product ready to be taken home.
