MONDAY, 18TH AUGUST THE MANIFESTATION OF THE BLESSINGS OF GOD ‘’Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.’’ Genesis 26:12-14 One of the themes in the Bible that has generated controversy over the years is the subject of the blessings of God. Defining what that blessing is has been in much dispute because of varied opinions. But it is needless to have varied opinions when there is the prescribed opinions to have from the word of God. It is a wonder why some people would rather choose what to believe instead of that which God has said in His word. To really know the sign of the blessing, you ought to be able to answer three main questions. The first is; who is the source of the blessing? The second question is who are some of the people in the bible that were blessed? And the third question to answer is what were the manifestations of their blessings? Undoubtedly every believer knows that God is the source of blessings. The word was first used in reference to Him in the Garden of Eden where we are told that ‘’…and the Lord blessed them…’’ Gen 1:28. With respect to those that were blessed, we are told from the scriptures that Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, Solomon, Job etc were all blessed by God. Now concerning the manifestation of the blessing, you would realize that all these people had a lot of physical possession as a result of the blessing. Adam had a whole garden and all manner of animals as his possession. The same was the case of Noah. Abraham we are told was rich in gold, silver and cattle. Jacob was so blessed that the land could not contain his goods. Joseph literally owned a country (Egypt). David almost singlehandedly provided for the whole cost of the temple. Solomon was so rich he made silver as stones in Jerusalem. And concerning Isaac we are told that when he was blessed he had so much possessions that he became greater than the nation in which he dwelt and therefore had to leave. Beloved, don’t accept any lie that says that physical possessions are not important to authenticate the blessing. On the contrary, it is the only physical proof that you are blessed. Accept this truth and let them manifest in your life with force in Jesus name. Shalom! Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I so much thank you for this enlightening truth. I know that your blessings manifest in physical possessions. I accept and endorse this and 38 therefore receive the manifestation in Jesus name. Ps. David
