MORNING MOTIVATION: THE POWER OF CONNECTIVITY! Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me (John 15:4KJV) Friend, when you truly connect to a man, he truly connects to you. When you truly connect to God, he truly connects to you. There is a man called Dr Myles Munroe, to which I truly connected to. Like others, I also struggled with his message but I finally became one of his branches. He gave me a big picture, beyond the four walls and beyond approach to life. Several years ago, he taught me about the power of Purpose and Potential. Three years ago Dr Myles Munroe taught me the best leadership secret to preserve ones legacy from his great book: PASSING IT ON and last year he taught me that Character and not power is the best leadership virtue in his book: POWER OF CHARACTER IN LEADERSHIP. As if he was saying bye to me, last month, as Zambia hit the peak celebrating her Jubilee, my heart began to ponder on the word FREEDOM. Dr Myles Munroe taught me from his book : THE BURDEN OF FREEDOM that deliverance is not freedom. He said: Deliverance is coming out of Egypt whereas freedom is Egypt coming out of you. He added that anyone can take you out of Egypt, but it requires personal responsibility to take Egypt out of you. He did not end there. He added that: Being in bondage is cheap which explains why many people comfortably settle under bondage but pursuing freedom demands personal responsibility. I checked in my bible and I saw it. Receiving Jesus delivers you out of the power of the devil but then the call of personal responsibility kicks in for you to be free (John 8:32). Dr Mykes Munroes charge to me was: GO BEYOND DELIVERANCE and PURSUE FREEDOM! Last night, I sat in my chair and the Spirit led me to a book I have picked up in the book store and put down several times without being attracted to buy it. It is called: THE GLORY OF LIVING by this great mentor of mine: Dr Myles Munroe. In this book he expressed his wishes for his daughter Charisa and his son Chairo (Myles Jnr) in the dedication. Then in the subsequent pages, he sent these challenging words to me: If the greatest tragedy in life is not death but life without a purpose, then the greatest shame in life is not revealing your true glory. Therefore glory is the hidden truth of all created things. The purpose of life is to manifest that glory. Many people walk around with their masterpiece in their minds, buried under wishful thinking, procrastination, fear, excuses, and intimidation. What a tragedy! I wonder what great invention, work of art, ministry, product, or business lies as untapped glory within you? I challenge you to not take your glory to the cemetery, but rather to manifest it before you die. You are created to glorify your Creator through the productivity of your works. Therefore, glorifying God is not limited to praising Him, but rather to putting your hand to productive, wholesome, and positive work. It is interesting that one of the foundational meanings of the word worship is “to work. . I dare you to move to the next level of your life and decide to go from glory to glory. You owe it to yourself and your Creator. Let men see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven (see Matt. 5:16) This morning, I awake to a rude shock as I saw this news in my mail box: Dr Myles and His wife die in a plane crush. It is sad but I am comforted by this: He released his personal glory and gave the grave an empty carcass. Go well my mentor. Your legacy will live on. You join the saints who being dead yet continue to speak and transform lives. Thank you for a life well lived. I join the world to celebrate God for your life. Truly, you demonstrated the glory of living a maximized life. Peace to your family, nation and followers worldwide. Shalom!
