MORT-B is a socio-Political Movement based in Makurdi,the Benue State Capital. MORT-B has emerged to mobilise Benue People in a bid to addressing the states leadership deficit. The Group which is led by Formidable Benue sons and Daughters including Dooyum Hanior, Brenda Iorpenda, Sewuese Agber,Bemgba Gwaza, Timothy Ikyume,Sater Gire and Ehi Favour Apeh arose from its inaugural Meeting held in Gboko with a call on the masses to support it in her bid to call for a formidable Benue State. In a Press statement issued in Gboko,the group noted that the Benues vicious cycle of political crises,corruption and abject poverty which has rendered her people hopeless spectators while a plundering cadre of oligarchs appropriate the peoples resources for themselves must be done away with to entrench true democracy in the state where the peoples wishes are respected by elected leaders. The group further stated that they will mobilise grass roots support for a capable leader,one with the right level of Education,Exposure, Experience and Integrity(3Es and I),as well as a proven history of standing on the side of the people. The group also called on all Benue sons and Daughters at home and abroad to join hands with the Government of Benue State to defeat the Fulani insurgency which it termed an assault on the soverienty of the Tiv Nation. It further condemned the recent attack by the rampaging Fulani herdsmen on the convoy of Gov. Gabriel Suswam and called on all well meaning sons and daughters to join hands with it to overcome the present challenge facing the state and also right the wrongs of yesterday to transform Benue state into the Benue of our dream. - Sign: Comrd.
