MSI Cares, a volunteering program recently started at Midland Scientific in which employees volunteer some of their time during the work day to help various charities around the greater Omaha area, had its first volunteer outing yesterday at the Food Bank for the Heartland. They took bulk macaroni and repackaged it into smaller sealed bags (2 Lbs. each). They then added powder cheese along with directions, sealed it all together, and placed them into boxes creating macaroni and cheese family dinners. Team Awesome processed over 100 Lbs. per person per hour worked, which will be distributed to families in over 93 counties in the state of Nebraska helping feed many families in need. This is one way that MSI cares for the people around them and helps those in need. Team Awesome had an amazing time helping the Food Bank of the Heartland putting these together, and it was a great bonding experience between our Product Manager, Accounting Manager, Customer Service Manager, and Warehouse Team Member. MSI Cares will be sending another team out soon, so watch for the next story!
