MSM journalists separate themselves from the people they serve. - TopicsExpress

MSM journalists separate themselves from the people they serve. They embrace their cause and their ideology. The St Louis MSM have decided the narrative of an innocent black man was killed by a white police officer is good for them. How they have covered this story has been disgraceful. Because they are removed from the people they serve, they have no worries that their stirring of hatred and violence through their biased stories has hurt the people they are supposed to serve. Businesses have been lost. People have been hurt. And all so this St Louis MSM could pimp their narrative. I serve a community that has people in it with different political views. I recognize my role as a journalist to that community to give voice to all sides and to not deliver propaganda to the community I serve. Our job is not to pimp our ideology but to serve our community with news. Yes, there is definitely a place for opinion, and we offer that, but when we cover the news, we keep the opinion out of it (or at least try to- sometimes you inject opinion without realizing it). This media served no one but their elite club of privileged journalists all congratulating themselves with how great they are exposing whitey. Meanwhile, the chances of getting to truth is lost. Did Wilson get away with murder or was justice served? I dont think we will ever know for sure, in large part thanks to the MSM who whipped up hate and emotions and created a culture of mistrust on all sides.
