THAT BAD ERIJO........... We have seen in that past few weeks that Hon. Prince Erijo did not perform bad in Umeh as previously thought or as we were made to believe. The Umeh Electrification project, the Umeh road and the ongoing Executive Toilet at Umeh are projects that has his input either exclusively or in collaboration with other facilitators. Today, let us take a stroll to Olomoro. Until recently, the Olomoro hospital was run by community with low funding and lack of medical personnel. It was almost a moribund hospital until Hon. Erijo intervened and pushed for government to take over ( funding and personnel) the hospital to stop his people from needless and avoidable deaths. I recently got documents where a community leader per excellence, Dr. Francis Akenami, wrote on behalf of Olomoro asking for govt intervention in the hospital. I also saw a letter written by Hon. Erijo to the commissioner for Health, prompting him to action. I have heard from grapevine that Erijo took the takeover of the hospital as a task that must be done and he pulled any and every available string to ensure that the takeover took place. However, in my usual way of confirming every info I receive before I post, I put an open question to our Olomoro brethren. See attached Dr. Francis Akenamis response. In Akenamis words, Dear Akpuzo Okperi, Prince Johnson Erijo facilitated the takeover, conversion of staff and renovation. No doubt about that. Is there someone out there still saying Erijo is insensitive to the needs of his people or he performed poorly? For me, it is Kudos to Prince Johnson Erijo. More of Erijos influenced projects in Olomoro soon.
