MY BELOVED GROUP MEMBERS: WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT THE TWO SEPARATE BEGINNING? THE FIRST BEGINNING In The Beginning.... The first three English words in the Bible. But when was this beginning? Did it begin a mere six-thousand years ago with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden? What does the Bible tell us? GENESIS 1:1 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. This is the beginning of the creation of the world that then was, In The Beginning, but it doesnt say when that was. There is no date given in the Scripture, why try to affix one? We cannot date of the creation of the world. It is impossible, for there is no reference point given. We know that this earth is billions of years old. Why charge God and His Bible with error when the real problem is OUR INABILITY TO READ WHAT IS WRITTEN AND TO NOT READ INTO IT THAT WHICH IS NOT WRITTEN? GENESIS 1:2 [(2A) = 1ST HALF OF VERSE] 2(a). And the earth was*1 without form*2, and void*3; and darkness*4 was upon the face of the deep*5 .*6 And the Spirit of God*7 moved upon the face of the waters. [VERSE 2 CONTINUES BELOW] *1). WAS is the English translation of a Hebrew word (HAYAH) which means Became. In other words, the earth was not created without form and void, but that it became that way at some point in time after it was created. Hebrew word #1961 hayah (HAW-YAW); a primitive root [compare 1933]; to exist, i.e. be or become, come to pass (ALWAYS EMPHATIC, AND NOT A MERE COPULA OR AUXILIARY) *2). WITHOUT FORM was translated from the Hebrew word (TOHUW) that means: TO LIE WASTE, A DESOLATION. You cannot lie waste or desolate something unless it was once in good condition and then at some later time it was destroyed. Hebrew word #8414 tohuw (TO-HOO); from an unused root meaning to lie waste; a desolation (OF SURFACE), i.e. DESERT; FIGURATIVELY, A WORTHLESS THING; ADVERBIALLY, IN VAIN: KJV-- CONFUSION, EMPTY PLACE, WITHOUT FORM, NOTHING, (THING OF) NOUGHT, VAIN, VANITY, WASTE, WILDERNESS. *3). VOID is translated from a Hebrew word (BOHUW) that means: AN INDISTINGUNISHABLE RUIN. You cannot have a ruin unless there was at first, something to ruin. Hebrew word #922 bohuw (BO-HOO); from an unused root (MEANING TO BE EMPTY); A VACUITY, i.e. (SUPERFICIALLY) AN UNDISTINGUISHABLE RUIN: KJV-- EMPTINESS, VOID. *4). DARKNESS (CHOSHEK) as it is used here means TO BECOME DARK, TO BE DARKENDED. You cannot darken something that was not lit in the first place. Hebrew word #2822 choshek (KHO-SHEK); from 2821; THE DARK; hence (LITERALLY) DARKNESS; FIGURATIVELY, MISERY, DESTRUCTION, DEATH, IGNORANCE, SORROW, WICKEDNESS: KJV-- DARK (-NESS), NIGHT, OBSCURITY. *5). DEEP, THIS CORRESPONDS WITH THE DESCRIPTION WITH THE DESCRIPTION OF THE FIRST EARTH AGE BY WATER IN 2 PETER 3:5-6. (NOT NOAHS FLOOD HERE). Hebrew word #8415 TEHOWM (TEH-HOME); or TEHOM (TEH-HOME); (USUALLY FEMININE) from 1949; AN ABYSS (AS A SURGING MASS OF WATER), ESPECIALLY THE DEEP (THE MAIN SUBTERRANEANEAN WATER -SUPPLY): KJV-- DEEP (PLACE), DEPTH. *6). There is a PERIOD at the end of this sentence. The following sentence marks THE BEGINNING of the REJUVENATION into this (OUR CURRENT DAY) earth age. *7). SPIRIT OF GOD = THE HOLY SPIRIT; the Spirit of God IS the HOLY SPIRIT. 1) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. (NOTICE THE PERIODS) And now I will explain the verse, NOT RETRANSLATE IT. I will describe it so that it explains not only the HEBREW WORDS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE, BUT ALSO THE HEBREW THOUGH INTO THE ENGLISH UNDERSTANDING. Therefore, it will be better understood if read as: In the beginning of time, when that was isnt stated, God created everything in the Heavens and on the earth. Then some unknown length of time later, something catastrophic occurred that made Gods Creation come to utter destruction, it became a wasted place. This destruction manifested itself among other things as a total flood. So complete was this destructive event that not only did the earth become an indistinguishable ruin, but even the sun stopped shining its light upon it, and all the earth was cast into utter darkness. Then THE SECOND SENTENCE OF VERSE 2 marks the START of the REJUVENATION OF THE EARTH and THE COMMENCEMENT OF GODS CREATION ON THE EARTH as we know it now in this present SECOND EARTH AGE which WE now live in. THE SECOND BEGINNING JOHN 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. JOHN 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. JOHN 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. JOHN 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. JHON 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. VERSES 1-4 The Apostle omits his name and character (AS ALSO THE AUTHOR TO THE HEBREW DOES) either out of humility, or as being willing that the Christian reader should be swayed by the light and weight of the things written rather than by the name that might recommend them. And so HE begins,I. With an account or character of the Mediator’s person. HE is the great subject of the gospel, the foundation and object of our faith and hope, the bond and cement that unite us unto GOD. He should be well known; and he is represented here, 1. AS THE WORD OF LIFE, VERSE. 1. In the Gospel THESE TWO ARE DISJOINED, and HE is called first the WORD, JOHN. 1:1 , and afterwards LIFE, intimating, withal, that HE is INTELLECTUAL LIFE. In HIM was LIFE, and that LIFE was (EFFICIENTLY AND OBJECTIVELY) THE LIGHT OF MEN, JOHN. 1:4 . Here both are conjoined: THE WORD OF LIFE, THE VITAL WORD. In that HE is the WORD, it is intimated that HE is the WORD of some person or other; and that is GOD, even the FATHER. HE IS THE WORD OF GOD, and so HE IS INTIMATED TO ISSUE FROM THE FATHER, AS TRULY (THOUGH NOT IN THE SAME MANNER) as a word (OR SPEED, WHICH IS A TRAIN OF WORDS) FROM A SPEAKER. BUT HE IS NOT A MERE VOCAL WORD, a bare logos prophorikos, but a vital one: THE WORD OF LIFE, THE LIVING WORD; and thereupon, 1. AS ETERNAL LIFE. HIS DURATION SHOWS HIS EXCELLENCY. HE WAS FROM ETERNITY; AND SO IS, IN SCRIPTURE - ACCOUNT, NECESSARY, ESSENTIAL, UNCREATED LIFE. That the apostle speaks of HIS ETERNITY, à parte ante (AS THEY SAY) and as from EVERLASTING, seems evident in that he speaks of HIM as HE WAS IN AND FROM THE BEGINNING; WHEN HE WAS THEN WITH THE FATHER, BEFORE HIS MANIFESTATION TO US, BEFORE THE MAKING OF ALL THINGS THAT WAS MAKE; as JOHN. 1:2, JOHN. 1:3 . SO THAT HE IS THE ETERNAL, VITAL, INTELLECTUAL WORD OF THE ETERNAL LIVING FATHER. AS LIFE MANIFESTED (VERSE. 2), MANIFESTED IN THE FLESH, MANIFESTED TO US. The ETERNAL LIFE would assume MORTALITY, would put on FLESH and BLOOD (IN THE ENTIRE HUMAN NATURE), and so DWELL AMONG US AND COVERSE WITH US, JOHN. 1:14 . Here were CONDESCENSION and KINDNESS indeed, that ETERNAL LIFE (A PERSON OF ETERNAL ESSENTIAL LIFE) should come to visit mortals, and TO PROCURE ETERNAL LIFE FOR THEM, AND THEN CONFER IT ON THEM!II. With the EVIDENCES and CONVICTIVE ASSURANCES that the Apostle and his brethren had of the Mediator’s presence and converse in this world. There were sufficient demonstrations of the reality of his abode here, and of the EXCELLENCY and DIGNITY of HIS person in the way of HIS MANIFESTATION. THE LIFE, THE WORD OF LIFE, THE ETERNAL LIFE, as such, COULD NOT BE SEEN AND FELT; BUT THE LIFE MANIFESTED MIGHT BE, AND WAS SO. THE LIFE WAS WAS CLOTHED WITH FLESH, put on the state and habit of abased human nature, and as such gave sensible proof of its existence and transactions here. GENESIS 1:2 (Cont.) THROUGH VERSE 5 [VERSE 2(b) Cont.] ...And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. (VERSE.3) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. (VERSE. 4) And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. (VERSE. 5) And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day . . . . (KJV) AMEN!
