MY BEST REVIEW YET..... Emory, a girl in the 9th grade, was seated with the family in the chapel today as I officiated over the funeral of Ella Sanford, one of our dear friends here in Mena. After the service, as respective families were riding toward the cemetery for the burial, Emory said to them, That man up there talkng about Grandma in the chapel is a writer. I could tell by the words and phrases he used. And by the way he described things. After we arrived at the cemetery, Emorys mother sought me out and told me what the girl had said. The she asked, Are you a writer? I told her I was. She said Emory was a avid reader and also had aspirations to be a writer. Before they got out of town, I gave the girl a copy of my book. Of all the reviews I got, I cherish that girls comments above all others.
