MY CONVERSION In company with my friends I (Ellen Harmon) attended these meetings and listened to the startling announcement that Christ was coming in 1843, only a few short years in the future. Mr. Miller traced down the prophecies with an exactness that struck conviction to the hearts of his hearers. He dwelt upon the prophetic periods, and brought many proofs to strengthen his position. Then his solemn and powerful appeals and admonitions to those who were unprepared, held the crowds as if spellbound. 1T14 Here we have the testimony of Mrs. White formerly A young Ellen giving her experience thru conversion. She speaks of listing to Mr. Miller being used by God to trace down the prophecies with exactness in showing the prophetic periods. This message dealing with prophetic periods deals exclusively to the First Angels Message. So anyone not teaching these PERIODS plural is not teaching the First angels message. This message is of Heaven and it was sent by God to lead men woman and child to conversion thru Repentance. So we see that this Gospel that leads men to conversion is the Prophetic PERIODS of the first Angel. How do we know it was of Heaven? When the time passed at which the Lord’s coming was first expected,—in the spring of 1844,—those who had looked in faith for His appearing were for a season involved in doubt and uncertainty. While the world regarded them as having been utterly defeated and proved to have been cherishing a delusion, their source of consolation was still the word of God. Many continued to search the Scriptures, examining anew the evidences of their faith and carefully studying the prophecies to obtain further light. The Bible testimony in support of their position seemed clear and conclusive. Signs which could not be mistaken pointed to the coming of Christ as near. The special blessing of the Lord, both in the conversion of sinners and the revival of spiritual life among Christians, had testified that the message was of Heaven. And though the believers could not explain their disappointment, they felt assured that God had led them in their past experience. GC391 Here we are told that the message preached by the Millerites was of Heaven, which is fitting seeing this is where we see the Angels of Revelation 14. Now these messages when correctly taught will bring about the same results by those who experience them. The Fact that Mrs. Harmon was converted to the millerite movement thru the preaching of Mr. Miller proves that he was Gods consecrated messenger of the Visions of John and Daniel. Adventist owe there doctrines of Faith to this faithful man of God. This also proves that he was teaching the Truth of the Prophetic Periods, it is these Periods that causes men everywhere to Repent. The First Angels Message is a message of repentance. You can receive the other two Angels or going to judgment until you repent. These messages must be received in their order. Those who rejected the first message could not be benefited by the second; neither were they benefited by the midnight cry, which was to prepare them to enter with Jesus by faith into the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary. And by rejecting the two former messages, they have so darkened their understanding that they can see no light in the third angel’s message, which shows the way into the most holy place. EW260 Those who will Reject the Prophetic Periods of the first Angels message will not see any light in the second nor in the third. This is profound. All the Truths found in these messages must be received or we will be Lost. There is to be in the [Seventh-day Adventist] churches a wonderful manifestation of the power of God, but it will not move upon those who have not humbled themselves before the Lord, and opened the door of the heart by confession and repentance. In the manifestation of that power which lightens the earth with the glory of God, they will see only something which in their blindness they think dangerous, something which will arouse their fears, and they will brace themselves to resist it. Because the Lord does not work according to their ideas and expectations they will oppose the work. “Why,” they say, “should we not know the Spirit of God, when we have been in the work so many years?”—The Review and Herald Extra, December 23, 1890. The third angel’s message will not be comprehended, the light which will lighten the earth with its glory will be called a false light, by those who refuse to walk in its advancing glory.—The Review and Herald, May 27, 1890. Why will seventh day Adventist call the third Angels message a false light? Because according to the testimony they would have Rejected the Prophetic periods of The First Angels Message. Thats the only reason that would cause one not to see the light of the third as we are told. But what are these prophetic Periods miller Taught that lead to the conversion of Mrs. White? You see we are told that those message taught by miller and his associates must today be studied and proclaimed. Why? So that people could see the Light of the Third Angel and not Reject it calling it a false light. All the messages given from 1840-1844 are to be made forcible now, for there are many people who have lost their bearings. The messages are to go to all the churches. 21MR437 written in 1906 Where can onbe find or even know the messages of this time period that we are told we must know? You see there were over 300 millerite preachers and they taught the Vision of John and Daniel using a prophetic chart that was a fulfilment of Habakkuk chapter2:1-3 and according to GC 392.2 it was known as the 1843 Chart. On this Chart you will find what? The Prophetic Periods and what the first and second Angels message are that lead to the conversion of many including Ellen White, which contains the messages of 1840-44 that according to Habakkuk chapter 2 we are told will speak and Not LIE. Why? Because all the Truth according to the Word of God is on there. Praise God. So those who deny any of the Truths that dont lie, on these Charts 1843&1850 will not see the Light of the third no matter how much they profess to teach it and represent it. The bible says come out from among them and be ye separate. Men may fight these truths but the Bible and SOP is clear this is the true Present Truth Message.
