MY DEVOTIONAL Isaiah 24:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. 22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited. At the great day of the Lord – His second advent – He and the host of heaven will descend to ransom the faithful ones unto Himself that where He is there they may be also. Once redeemed, the saints will spend a thousand years – millennium – with Jesus in Heaven (Rev 20:4, 6) whilst the unrighteous will be dead here on earth (Rev 20:5). It is this period that the devil will be locked up in prison here on earth for there will be no one here on earth for him to deceive for the unrighteous would be dead (first death) and the saints would be in Heaven for the millennium. “He shall be visited after many days” i.e after the millennium, when the New Jerusalem will be returned from Heaven (Rev 21:2) after the saints have spent their 1000 years with Jesus (Rev 20:6). The millennium, clearly will be spent in heaven not on earth and that’s where you should strive to be.
