Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre Inc - Employment Opportunities Position: (2) Family Based Emergency Care Workers Classification:Permanent Full-Time Location: 445 King Street Administration Site Starting Salary: Subject to Qualifications Background: The CLOUT program is seeking two (2) individuals for the position of Family Based Emergency Care Worker. As a key member of the Childs Emergency Care Team, the Family-Based Emergency Care Worker is responsible for approximately 10-15 beds, to facilitate placement of children, to supervise and support emergency care homes in the care of the children, and to work with CFS and the childs family to develop and implement a care plan. The Worker undertakes all of the following duties and responsibilities for an assigned caseload in such a manner as to support the program’s overall goals and objectives: Qualifications: • Post secondary education in the area of Human Services or acceptable equivalent / related experience • Working knowledge of the Child Welfare Legislation and Standards • Thorough understanding of the Family Group Conference model • Ability to develop effective working relationships with families; • Communicate effectively in oral and written form, including effective use of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and electronic mail • Ability to set and meet deadlines • Ability to implement program polices and protocols • Understanding of and ability to promote culturally sensitive care for children within the program and with the program’s house parents • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal mandated and non mandated organizations • Be a team player to encourage an environment that fosters effective results • Understanding of aboriginal values and community issues • Subject to Criminal/Prior Contact and Child Abuse checks All letters of interest and resumes must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. - July 30th, 2014 Attention: Gina Lewis Human Resources Assistant Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre, Inc. 445 King Street Winnipeg, Manitoba R2W 2C5 Fax: (204) 946-5042 Email: glewis@mamawi 17 SharesLikeLike · · Share
