Make Time to Pray Perhaps you are concerned that you dont know how to pray, It is much simpler than you suppose. Step into the silence and, in your heart, say to God, I dont know how to pray, and already you will have begun to pray. Just talk to him. Simply open your heart to him in a gentle dialogue. Speak to him as you would a great friend, mentor, coach, or teacher. When you leave your time of prayer, continue the dialogue with God in your heart throughout the moments of your day. Share with him your joys and disappointments, your questions and your doubts. Speak to him about everything. Tevye, from the musical Fiddler on the Roof, is a great example. He is always talking to God, about everything. This constant dialogue is perhaps part of what Paul had in mind when he wrote, Pray constantly (1 Thessalonians 5:17) (Taken from Rediscover Lent by Matthew Kelly, Franciscan Media)
