Malik Ambar, whose original name was Shambu or Chapu, was born around 1550ib Harar, Ethiopia. After his arrival in India Ambar, an exceptional man, over time was able to raise a formidable army and achieve great power in the western Indian realm of Ahmadnagar. Ambar was a brilliant diplomat and administrator. He encouraged manufacturers and built canals and mosques. He have pension to pores and scholars, established a postal service, and ultimately became of the most famous men in India.
