Man Catches Teenagers Breaking into His Apartment On Sunday, May, 4, 2014 at approximately 4:40 PM Worcester police were dispatched to an apartment on Mattson Ave for a report of a break in progress. Upon arrival, officers met with a 50-year-old male who came home to find his door kicked in and a window was also pushed open. The man began to search the dwelling. Two teenagers ran from a bedroom to the rear door. The man realized he was being robbed and grabbed one of the suspects. The man struggled with the suspect but the suspect was able to get away. The two suspects fled in a gold Buick. Police recovered a bag at the bottom of the stairs that contained stolen items. Members of the Crime Scene Unit arrived and processed the scene. One suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his teens (possibly 16 or 17), about 6 feet tall and thin build. There is limited information on the second suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
