Man Shoots 16-Year-Old Boy Hia Fahal Residents in Wau have strongly accused Wau Teaching Hospital medical staff for failing to offer treatment to a 16 year-old-boy who was shot by an army man. 06 July 2013 [Gurtong] - The boy’s mother identified as Hawa Dongus Osman told Gurtong that after rushing to the hospital, the medical staff refused to nurse her wounded boy until the boy passed away in what mother said was due to bleeding. The young boy was shot twice on his left leg and stomach. “The soldier who shot my son just quarrelled within our residential area after he was drunk of which my family had not have any link to his problem, he automatically rushed to his home and come back with his gun until he fired bullets at my son without any reason,” said the mother. “None of my family member had known the suspect or had any problem with him,” said Hawa. “Am totally not happy with the current widespread of military hardware at the hand of soldiers within the civilian area, and am also appealing to the government to immediately order out the soldiers who are renting within the civilian area,” said the mother. However the killer has been arrested and kept in Grinti military division five detention. Family members are asking the state government to investigate the incident and bring the killer to book.
